Thousands of army trucks, jeeps, and parts were dumped on the island of Okinawa, Japan after World War II. These photos were taken on November 11, 1949 by Life Magazine photographer Carl Mydans.

Japan might have lost the war, but they sure got a lot of steel to build their car's.
