Beautiful Black and White Photos of Margot Fonteyn in Sadler's Wells Ballet in 1949

Margot Fonteyn (1919 – 1991), was an English ballerina. She is widely regarded as one of the greatest classical ballet dancers of all time. Below is a wonderful collection of black and white photos of ballerina Margot Fonteyn in white costume dancing alone on stage of Metropolitan Opera House. All photographs were taken by LIFE photographer Gjon Mili in New York in 1949.
