This newly-discovered film footage of Amelia Earhart from 1937 was released in conjunction with an e-book titled “Amelia Earhart's Last Photo Shoot.” Written by Nicole Swinford, the book is about Albert Bresnik’s photographs of Earhart taken as she readied for the around-the-world flight during which she ultimately vanished over the central Pacific Ocean.
Earhart is seen in the film with her husband, George Putnam; her navigator, Fred Noonan; and her personal photographer, Albert Bresnik. The footage sat untouched for some 70 years until a member of the Bresnik family realized its significance.
