There are those among us who think of the past as the golden years, when everything was better than it is today, and people mostly spent time drinking malts at the shake shop or skipping around fields of hay. However, we're here to tell you that there were plenty of things in the past that were super creepy, and we've got the photos to prove it.
If these 34 scary photos don't give you nightmares, then you've got a stronger constitution than we do. In fact, we'll be sleeping with the lights on for days!
Take a look and freak yourself out!

Not creepy. Would be good to get explanations to go with them
ReplyDeleteNeed to tell story
ReplyDeleteSome of these are recent. One of them features the doll from the ANNABELLE movies.
ReplyDeleteRaggedy Ann has been around since 1915, so photo has to be 1915 or later.
DeleteUm, no. Remember, the Annabelle doll from the movie franchise was not a Raggedy Ann doll. The picture we see here is with the Actor who was made up to represent Bathsheba from The Conjuring movie holding the Annabelle doll from the Annabelle movies. This picture is most certainly not 100 years old.
DeleteYou are absolutely correct. I apologize. I haven't seen the movies, but I've seen enough on the Warrens to know the real Annabelle is a Raggedy Ann doll. I did not realize a different doll was created for the movies. I do know people often create photos to look like they are from another time, as well as photoshop old photos for Halloween decor. There's a photo making it's rounds on the internet as a post mortem photo, and it's actually a photo created solely for the movie "The Others." It definitely is a photo created to appear to be from the Victorian era, and it has fooled many people. I didn't think about that when I commented. I should have looked back through the photos before commenting. Thank you for clearing that up for me. Happy New Year
DeleteWhat a weird mix of photos ranging from "old women wearing their hair down" to "movie stills" to "obvious recent photo manipulation" to "this photo appears twice." Not really vintage, over all, and very poor quality control. "What do you expect for free?" IDK man, but there's a TON of unsettling vintage/antique photos floating around, why post obvious recent fakes? Or else just... post recent spooky photo manips with links to the artists?
ReplyDeleteSome of these pics weren’t of dark things. It was just the way early photography looked.
