Produced by a company founded in Barcelona in 1904, Hispano-Suiza earned its prestigious reputation primarily through French-built vehicles following World War I. The Junior model emerged after Hispano-Suiza acquired Ballot in 1929, creating what was essentially a scaled-down version of their legendary H6.
Powered by a 4.6-liter six-cylinder engine built in Spain, the Junior utilized a lighter Ballot chassis with a 357cm wheelbase. Despite being more affordable than the flagship H6, the Junior saw limited production with only 126 examples built before manufacturing ceased in 1933.
This particular example features elegant berline (sedan) coachwork by Carrosserie Vanvooren of Courbevoie, Seine—a distinguished coachbuilder known for creating bodies for elite marques including Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Bugatti, and Delage. Though less famous than its larger siblings, the Junior maintains the engineering excellence and refined character that defined the Hispano-Suiza legacy.
