On July 25, 1956, Marilyn does a hair test for The Prince and The Showgirl in which she stars with Sir Laurence Olivier. Hair and make up tests were usually taken in the studio but this being Marilyn Monroe Productions, they chose an outdoors setting in England, most likely to be the gardens of Parkside house where Marilyn lived for four months. The Prince and the Showgirl is a 1957 romantic comedy film starring Marilyn Monroe and Laurence Olivier, who also served as director and producer. The screenplay written by Terence Rattigan was based on his 1953 stage play The Sleeping Prince.
